I've been editing 'Moments' over the past couple of days and it is turning out to be an awesome process. I love editing drama. Tally as it stands for the movie is that we've got 5 scenes remaining to shoot while I've got 5 scenes, that we've shot earlier, to edit in the meantime.
The final edit for the master sequence once all rough cut scenes are in will be an interesting experience as I'll have to find the rhythm and pace for what is essentially a semi-improvised, multi-threaded, non-arc'ing narratives, where it is about the'moments' rather than the over-riding dramatic arc. I actually can't wait for it - it'll either be an awesome film or a complete piece of garbage. My gut feel is pointing towards the former - if things come together nicely.
Here is to brave decisions by everyone involved with the project.
